These new machines required very precise structural support, with carefully controlled dimensions to ensure they operated safely and accurately.

New x-ray rooms were designed with appropriate radiation shielding, while still allowing clear and safe lines of sight into the patient areas. This helps staff monitor patients easily while maintaining a secure working environment.

A small staff lounge was also created for on-call staff. It is discreetly screened from public areas, yet positioned so staff can move quickly and easily back into the emergency department when needed.
