When Te Papa launched its ambitious permanent exhibition on 20th Century Aotearoa, Pelorus was brought in to turn the designers’ concepts into practical, buildable drawings. The final exhibition captures the richness of the original ideas while being both economical and durable.

A major challenge was creating the exhibition within an occupied museum without causing disruption. This was achieved through extensive modular prefabrication, allowing much of the work to be prepared off-site.
