Pelorus was asked to help make the most of the site’s views down to Island Bay. Because the property sits on a steep site, we used a cantilevered support structure to extend the building over the slope, connecting the home directly to the stunning south coast outlook.
The extension gives the master suite breathtaking views, enhanced by full-height windows. The main living room opens onto a large hardwood deck through full-height sliding and stacking doors. Glass balustrades on a raised “look-out” ensure the view remains completely unobstructed from inside the home.
